Happy holidays! I’ve been asked and I’m sure many wonder if my thoughts on COVID have changed after the death of my girlfriend’s father due to the virus on the 24th. My thoughts remain unchanged. I have always believed it was real and it is killing people. I think it is wise for those who are vulnerable to protect themselves. What I question is the lockdown policies. I have little doubt that the long-term damage from these policies is significantly worse than the damage done by the coronavirus.

Due not the the virus but to the lockdown policies, we now have massively increased poverty worldwide, startlingly increased rates of starvation, suicide, bankruptcies, domestic violence, fear of death and disease, children without playmates, not to mention the damage to so many people emotionally and spiritually. Such a tragedy. And the uber rich and big Pharma CEOs have seen their collective wealth massively increase, while the poor get poorer. If many more die and suffer as a result of the lockdown policies than virus itself, are we making the right decisions on this?

We are in the midst of a huge experiment that reveals a lot about who we are. And I know that in the bigger picture, it is all part of the natural divine unfolding of life, which is a gift to us all. Disease and death, selfish humans and amazingly altruistic humans, love and fear, death and birth — it’s all a part of this gift of life offering every one of us countless opportunities for growth and a return to greater love and harmony. I invite us all to open to this gift and move from our hearts as we face all of these challenges together.
